Ready for another Tom Clancy video game? Today, Ubisoft announced that a pre-launch VIP demo for Tom Clancy’s EndWar will be released for Microsoft’s Xbox 360 consoles sometime in October. EndWar won the best strategy game of E3 2008 by Game Critics Awards, an award that has never been awarded to a console game. Ubisoft is hoping to use this demo as a final stress test for the online systems and they hope to test out the new voice command enabled strategy feature. In order to get VIP demo, gamers would have to purchase a pre-order for the game at participating retailers and those gamers would be given access to the demo on the Xbox Live Marketplace. The game’s official release is sometime this fall season. The excitement for this game is truly overwhelming! Stay tuned!

It is about 18 days till the release of Rock Band 2 for the Xbox 360 and a few months for the PS3 and Wii, , but people simply just can’t wait. Harmonix, the developer of the game, released a track list of all the playable songs on the video game. With this list, Harmonix listed the difficulty of each song according to the instrument being played. Some notable tracks include:
Metallica – “Battery”
Smashing Pumpkins – “Today”
Survivor – “Eye of the Tiger”
Bon Jovi – “Livin’ on a Prayer”
Bob Dylan – “Tangled Up in Blue”
The track list looks amazing. It seems that there are going to be plenty of songs that will be interesting to play. I don’t know about you, but the anticipation is just killing me. If you want to check out the full list, click here.

DeadSpace
EA has just published a new site for the up and coming game/Movie “Dead Space”. The website URL is NoKnownSurvivors.com. At loading you will find your usually age verification. From there you are looking at space with severed body parts. Eerie music to help the mood and currently only one selectable item. I will let you find for yourself what happens. The site body part rendering is a bit cheesy and the lack of content made me bored quickly with it. You would think they would not publish it until it was fine tuned. I mean come on, your making a million dollar movie on top of the game??

Today is Monday. The twenty-fifth day of the month of August in the year 2008. That only means that tomorrow, August 26th, 2008, is the first day of the release of the Japanese role-playing game Tales of Vesperia. Developed by Namco Bandai for Microsoft’s Xbox 360, the game reached the top 15 rankings of best-selling products at Amazon in the video game division. If you remember correctly, we reported last week that Xbox 360 hardware was sold out in all of Japan. If one were to investigate the 400 percent increase in sales of the Xbox 360 in the country of Japan, one would find out that the culpirt is the video game Tales of Vesperia. Well the hype not only reached Japan, but it also reached North America with this latest news bit. Now with the game about to release in North America, Microsoft, as well as Namco Bandai, must be happy about the latest statistics.

Last week, we reported on rumors about price drops on the various Xbox 360 models. Well today is a new day, and there are news regarding the price cuts overseas. It has been reported that in Singapore, the Xbox 360 got a 19.5 percent price drop. Meanwhile, there was a 17 percent price cut in Taiwan, an 11 percent price cut in Hong Kong, and a 5 percent price cut in South Korea. India saw no price cuts. Asia has been the one region that Microsoft seem to have problems with. These price cuts in the Asian regions is a marketing and sales ploy to increase the sales of Xbox 360s in the region. Microsoft pulled the same stunt in North America and in Europe and met great results. In order to compete with Sony’s Playstation 3 and the ever so popular Nintendo Wii on an international level, Microsoft is hoping these price cuts would boost sales of the Xbox 360, which is third behind the two mentioned consoles. Hopefully Microsoft will see success with this move. Again, only time can tell.

With the official news about Duke Nukem 3D coming to the Xbox 360 Arcade, there is more news regarding the highly-anticipated game. The new Duke Nukem 3D will now have film saving features. What does that mean? Well according to Microsoft representatives at the X08, a gaming expo in Toronto, have stated that with the new features, players will be able to rewind gameplay and save videos of their battles. With the new rewind option, gamers could “undo” mistakes and go back to any part of the game that they previously battled through. It will be interesting to see how it works, but so far it sounds like a great idea. And for a game like Duke Nukem 3D, the rewind option might be a lifesaver, to say the least.

It was just a few days ago that we reported that the Xbox 360 sales surpassed the PS3 in Japan. In less than a week, Xbox 360 sales went back to last place with 7,258 units sold this week. The higher than normal sales of the Xbox 360 was due to the release of the new Japanese role-playing game Tales of Vesperia. But with the Xbox 360 hardware selling out this past week, it should of been expected that sales of the Xbox 360 would decrease. Microsoft has nothing to complain about because although they are in last place, 7,258 units sold is a strong number despite having historically low sales for the console in Japan. Microsoft shouldn’t panic as they promise to increase the production, so their sales should increase somewhat.
