Alan Wake is a game that you probably don’t remember or at least its been so long since its appearance at E3 of 2006 that any impressions of this game have long been buried. We must admit we were very impressed with the game when we first saw it. 3 years later, the graphics still impress us but with so many high profile titles coming out, we can’t help but wonder if its been too long and gamers just don’t care as much anymore. The good news is however that Alan Wake is “done” and being polished at this point. Remedy came through for us after all and the game will be set to be released some time in the spring 2010 time frame.

The XCM black light cases pictured above are a great way to make your Xbox look more techno pretty. Of course they are also a great way to void your warranty. If you have one of the newer Xbox modles that are supposed to give off less heat and therefore possibly spare you from the RRoD, we may actually recommend this. The entire case comes with a kit you can use to swap out your hardware in a matter of minutes and we do admit the blue looks pretty cool. With XCM black light cases for the Xbox 360, you’re sure to get laid….

In an interview with the lead designer of Gears of War Cliff Bleszinski, he gave a few thoughts regarding Project Natal and its influence on Gears of War. Sadly, CliffyB does not really see Natal being implemented into the Gears of War games. While he was impressed with the technology, the young game industry veteran does not really see Natal replacing traditional gaming. While we agree that the controller pad is by far the most efficient way to play games, we can’t help but feel a little disheartened that we won’t be able to re-enact the grusome and bloody chainsaw bayonet actions. Natal presents itself as a great alternative to the controller in racing games and fighting games but first person shooters often require many different simultaneous inputs which would only seem bothersome if you had to actually act the whole thing out.
-One of the most anticipated movies of this year Terminator Salvation will also make a smash on your home gaming consoles soon enough. I am excited to see that it seems they may have finally got a good looking solid sequel to the original movie, as for the game we will just have to wait and see…In the mean time peep out the awesome trailer below.
The main character does not seem to resemble Christian Bale but the game play looks to be killer and exciting! can’t wait for a demo of this to hit XBox Live.
- So it has finally happened! UFC 2009 the game has finally hit the shelves and yours truly was one of the first in line at the midnight release at a local Gamestop. Plenty of people were awaiting lined up outside the door. Well as soon as I got it home I tore into it and loaded it up. The opening little movie sequence is worth checking out it definitely hyped me up even more to finally get in the cage. I went right into an exhibition match, I am a Rampage Jackson fan so naturally I picked him and of course I had to do a rendition of the Rampage V.S. Griffin fight so that was the match up. I was kind of disappointed there was no entrance animation for walking to the ring with your music blaring and the lights dimmed, but eh that’s just a small gripe. Black Friday at Walmart seems to be a very unfriendly place as evidenced by this fight that broke out over shoppers who wanted to save a few bucks on an Xbox 360. The year has been tough for Americans on all levels. Instead of banding together and learning to true meaning of the holiday season, we’ve once again shown our true colors by devolving into a bunch of animals fighting for some corporate concoction aimed at capitalizing on our values.
Letter to Walmart: LEARN HOW TO CONTROL THE CROWDS THAT LINE UP AT YOUR STORE ON BLACK FRIDAYS! Obviously you can’t expect us to congregate in an orderly manner….

Now that most people have had a chance to try out the New Xbox Experience, it begs the question of why YOU haven’t (unless you have… in which case disregard this post). If you still haven’t gotten around to downloading it, trust me it only takes about 8 minutes (probably even faster now since there are less people downloading it). Here is the intro video, I would have been happy if this had been on the Xbox 720! Hurry up and download it! Work/School can wait!

Today Microsoft confirmed a more specific released window for Halo Wars, the upcoming RTS based on the wildly popular Halo universe. According to Microsoft, Halo Wars is expected to hit store shelves some time in February of 2009. The game is being developed by Ensemble Studios, the creative masterminds behind the Age of Empires series. This will mark the first time that Bungie Studios will not be the ones to develop a Halo game. It is also interesting to note that Ensemble Studios is scheduled to close down after the release of Halo Wars. A new studio formed by former employees will take its place and will release patches and provide support for the game.

Microsoft has informed the public that unauthorized users of the New Xbox Experience will face a ban from Xbox Live until the official release on November 19th. The New Xbox Experience is Microsoft’s complete renovation of the Xbox 360 interface. New features will include a more streamlined and informative marketplace as well as avatars! Private beta testing has started for some lucky xbox users but Microsoft has warned that usage of NXE on other unauthorized machines will mean the inability to sign into xbox live. This could mean that people who have NXE before they are supposed to will be unable to play over Live until November 19th! Don’t people, its not worth it…
